DDS’ Work on Big Projects
There is no project too big or tall for DDS! We’re expert commercial painters and decorators Liverpool based but known across the country, with a team industry trained to be able to work on all kinds of projects, in particular those hard to reach.
We are regularly commissioned for commercial painting and decorating projects which require specific equipment in order for us to access hard to reach areas. This is particularly true on external painting jobs.
Our team have achieved a broad range of qualifications and licences, following health and safety regulations in order to be able to perform these tasks.
Commercial Painting and Decorating Equipment
External painting projects can pose real problems without the correct equipment. Our skills and licences have enabled us to successfully complete commercial painting to tight deadlines in difficult circumstances.
Whether it’s on large stores such as Home Bargains or M&S, or high street branches of YBS, Pizza Express, and Specsavers – being able to reach high areas and deliver the same quality of work is a key factor in becoming a dependable and versatile commercial painting contractor. Through our use of various MEWPs, i.e. cherry pickers, scissor lifts or mobile tower scaffolds, our IPAF & PASMA certified team deliver a high standard of work whilst working safely at height
Cherry pickers, boom and spider lifts allow us to access all kinds of tough to reach tasks. They consist of a work platform which is elevated using a hydraulic lift system and can be manipulated to specific heights using controls.
Scissor lifts operate in a similar way and can be used both internally and externally. Both of these machines allow us to multitask as the work platform ensures that we can paint whilst being balanced. We’ve recently put both machines to great use completing external projects for Jaguar & YBS. Scissor lifts have also enabled us to paint internal structural steelwork at the new M&S food hall in Stone.
Qualified Commercial Painters and Decorators Liverpool
Using cherry pickers, scissor lifts and scaffolding requires specific industry certifications. For cherry pickers and scissor lifts, an IPAF licence is required. For portable scaffolding a PASMA certificate is required.
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) gives license to be able to operate powered access equipment. The IPAF training course teaches you how to operate the various different powered access machines in a safe manner. The Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA) is the recognised qualification for mobile access tower scaffolding.
