Training with DDS
Here at DDS, we ensure that we run a tight ship when it comes to the training of our staff. It is our responsibility to make sure all of our staff are well trained and educated in their field before sending them out on a project.
All of our staff are trained under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
99% of our on-site staff are IPAF and PASMA trained, which deals with working at height – both from access equipment and scaffolding. This is imperative as a lot of our external work (particularly for Yorkshire Building Society) requires both forms of access.
Ensuring all of our projects run efficiently, a select few members of our team are trained under the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme. This course focuses on the health and safety aspect of site management. Due to our commitment to Health and Safety, we have freshly trained First Aiders within our team. They recently undertook a 3 Day “First Aid at Work” Training Course.
Every single member of staff here at DDS have passed both Asbestos Awareness and Fire Awareness courses with flying colours, and will re-take the annual exams in November.
Our Health and Safety Manager John Hooson is accredited with Nebosh Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
