Who we are
Becoming successful commercial painting and decorating contractors didn’t happen overnight. It’s stemmed from three decades of dedication to the craft, where attention to detail has always been our number one focus. We strive to be the best decorating and painting contractors Liverpool can offer!
Our MD Keith Connolly comes from a family of painters and decorators, so he perfected the art long before launching DDS in his hometown of Liverpool, in 2004.
Knowing that a flawless finish makes the difference between an average and an impressive project, he now leads a 20-strong who are as meticulous as him.
From quality interior and exterior painting to specialist wall coverings and airless spraying, we promise to deliver on time and within budget.
Our high standards are in demand nationwide, with clients including national principal contractors, local general builders, local authorities, private businesses, schools and hospitals.

you can trust us
We wouldn’t have been in business for so many years without caring for our staff, our customers and the environment. So you can rest assured we see our health and safety obligations as important as our high quality of work.
Health and safety
Our health and safety manager conducts induction training with new staff, carries out regular toolbox talks and ensures everybody is trained in up-to-date safety procedures, including being aware of the latest legislation.
Before we begin any project, it undergoes a full risk assessment and method statement, to comply with legislation and maintain a safe working environment.
All of our expert staff have a valid CSCS card – the training certification for all building industry workers. They’re also provided with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) clothing so they’re both safe and highly visible at all times.
If scaffolding or cherry pickers are needed, everybody involved must have the right IPAF and PASMA training qualifications for working with powered access and mobile towers.
We’re also accredited members of Safecontractor, Constructionline and CHAS (The Contractors’ Health and Safety Assessment Scheme), being regularly assessed on our working methods and health and safety procedures.
We not only advise our clients about sustainability, but practice it ourselves.
We minimise our waste to landfill by reusing, reducing and recycling, and we’re always looking for ways to reduce pollution and promote eco-friendly products.
For your peace of mind, we have contractors all risk insurance cover to the values of:
Public Liability – £5million
Product Liability – £5million
Employers Liability – £10million

Here at DDS, we consider Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) to be an integral aspect of who we are as a company. As such, it has a strong influence on our everyday thoughts and actions.
We have a commitment to maintaining CSR throughout the DDS environment, including through our clients, suppliers, employees and all other stakeholders. In addition, we recognise the importance of supporting local community projects and initiatives.
One area in which our dedication towards CSR is demonstrated is through our continued belief in sustaining a healthy and safe workforce, not only through the provision of a happy and stable working environment, training and further opportunities, but also through Health and Safety programmes and accreditations such as CHAS, Safecontrator and Constructionline.
We take pride in keeping all of our clients continually updated about all current issues relating to the construction industry. In particular, we are able to offer them advice regarding sustainability.
Alongside other local businesses, DDS were recently involved in an exciting community programme for the Norris Green Area in Liverpool as part of the Children in Need Appeal and in partnership with DIY SOS Big Build. We were faced with the challenge of creating a new community centre, and what we achieved together was simply outstanding. The rundown centre was transformed into a place where the local residents were able to come together to play games and sports, hold meetings and offer community support. The end result has undoubtedly made a huge difference to the area, and we hope the legacy of this will be evident long into the future.
We were involved in the DIY SOS Big Build as part of the Children in Need appeal, this was to create a community centre for the Norris Green Area of Liverpool. We amongst other traders gave up our time and turned the ‘run down’ community centre to a place where the community could get together play sports, hold community meetings, play games and offer support to the community.
